SECOND WIND donated relief funds and contributed to municipalities in Kumamoto Prefecture through Japan’s Furusato Nozei hometown tax program. The locally produced thank-you gifts received through the program were shared with employees, offering them a chance to discover the region’s products.

For 30 years, I have worked alongside business leaders and colleagues, taking on challenges and learning from setbacks. That experience has led me to a firm conviction.
Deliver what was asked for, exactly as promised. Then go further. That is where we create new value.
The starting point is a deep understanding of each partner’s journey: why they started their business, what they value, and the challenges they have overcome. Understanding that background helps us see beyond their stated requests to the conviction behind them—their “why.”

Even with strong determination and a clear vision, a lack of funding, connections, sales skills, or experience can stand in the way of taking the first step.
That is why I want to share everything I have learned with the next generation. We will think things through, put in the work, and take on challenges together. By sharing setbacks as well as successes, we can help them develop the ability to think and act independently.
Supporting as many entrepreneurs as possible as they build businesses guided by their own convictions is my mission.
They can then build businesses that reflect their own vision, exceed someone’s expectations, and go on to support the next generation of entrepreneurs. We need to build a society where this cycle can take root and continue.
